Saturday Spotlight wk 1

Welcome to Saturday Spotlight!

This week I have chosen 'The Look' by ger (Geraldine). I love the way she uses embellishments, they seem to take center stage, but the photos aren't lost at all. The layering and clustering is just gorgeous and as for that little face lol.
You really must look at her other pages on Daisy Trail !

"My page is inspired, as are most of my pages, by my three beautiful grandchildren (or other personal photos that I love to take).
I’ve been digi scrapping for about 4 years and I love it as it does not entail the mess of traditional scrapbooking.
I love all types of crafts, knitting sewing etc.
I’ve used G&T Designs Equinox add on to make my page".

Thank you for sharing Geraldine x

Saturday Spotlight!!!

Introducing the Saturday Spotlight Feature:
Every Saturday, I will feature a scrap page, or card etc, from the gallery on
 Daisy Trail
With around 1000 projects uploaded every week, I should have a huge variety of talent to showcase!
Hopefully the Daisy Trail member in the spotlight will tell us a little bit about themselves and the inspiration for their work. Full credit will , of course, be given to the digi kit designers used.
I will also provide a link back to the members own gallery on Daisy Trail if they wish.

So please join me and pop in on Saturday to meet our first talented Daisy trailer. I am so excited about this. All I have to do now is choose one project to feature...eek!!!

WOYWW 225 - Stuff I am doing!

Today I am joining in with WOYWW for the first time. Over at The Stamping Ground - for info click here.  Exciting or what!?!

So, this is what I've been working on this morning:

I am gradually scrapping all of my holiday photos and this is one taken on the day we went gorge walking...well I say 'we',  I actually chickened out with the excuse that 'someone has to take the photos' lol. Basically it involved walking up a river - very rocky, cold and wet. But they all said it was fantastic. I will be scrapping the action shots soon :)
This is the finished version. I used a gorgeous digi kit from Sahlin studio and Kate Hadfield called Summer Camp

I am also working on some Christmas cards...not sure if they will work out though :/  Using a kit by Laurie Ann called Winter White. Just got to add some text...

Matt's Kestrel

So we were out geocaching yesterday (def becoming a bit of an obsession) lol, along the river Itchen, and Matt got this brilliant shot of a kestrel. He was chuffed as I think he's been trying to get close enough to one for a while.
And of course, if I get a whiff of a decent photo, I scrap it!
I've actually cut the bird out then layered it back on top of the original photo to make it stand out.
Oh and the little sign is a photo I took on the day near to where the kestrel was.

Used elements from Dianne Rooney, Sahlin Studio and One Little Bird.

Hollie

This is my stepdaughter, Hollie. I love this photo of her as she looks so chilled. It was taken a couple of weeks ago on our holiday in Devon. I wanted a layered look and it's sometimes tricky judging when to stop adding things on. I think I stopped in time lol.

Used elements from various designers for this:  Sahlin Studio, Amy Wolff, Laurie Ann, One Little bird and Pink Reptile Designs.
