Welcome to WOYWW - and the first airing of my new craft room!

For the last few months I have been doing a lot more traditional scrapbooking. i.e paper and glue as opposed to digital (which i still love)

So my gorgeous husband decided I needed a craft room. He has spent the last month painting and fitting furniture - and now, I am pleased to say, I have moved in.

I can't tell you how happy I am to have my own space to mess up as I choose lol. I have the luxury of not having to tidy away after every crafty session ... bliss.

Anyway, somebody asked me to put some photos on my blog. So here they are along with some of the pages I have created this last couple of weeks.

It all looks a bit spookily tidy and empty at the moment. But give me time......

And just in case anyone thinks I may have left Poppy dog out of the new craft room plans, here she is tucked away in the corner on her brand new throw!

This is the page I'm working on at the mo. It's a photo of the stormy sea during one of the recent storms. The papers are a freebie from Scrapbooking magazine.

This page is of Poppy wearing her Christmas bandana - unfortunately you can hardly see it! But she still looks so cute.

And this is Hollie on holiday last year. Love that photo of her - taken by Matt.

 If anyone has any advice about how to photograph scrapbook pages, please let me know lol. This is an awful photo and the colours are all wrong!

Saturday Spotlight Wk 18

Welcome to The Saturday Spotlight!

This week's page is 'Ivy' by Susan56. I love the old photo and the way she has used muted colours, perfect for the photo.

This, to me, is what scrapbooking is all about. Preserving those special memories and remembering the important people in our lives. I also love the labelling. Beautiful page Susan x

'Cream & Sugar' digi-kit and A New Craft Room!

I need this kit!  I just love the colours and the embellishments - even though I don't actually scrap pages about cups of coffee lol. So really, I have no idea what I would use this kit for, but will think of something and still want it! Laurie Ann is such a talented designer.

Unfortunately, funds are low due to the installation of a brand new craft room in my house. How lucky am I? Can't quite believe it. Painting is finished and IKEA units are installed.  Just waiting for shelves to go up, a blind for the window and a radiator.  Have bought so many plastic boxes for storage and I'm busying myself sorting through my stash and organising it into the boxes. 

Weirdly, I am enjoying this almost as much as the actual crafting - is it just me that LOVES storage? So will be a week or so till I actually move in.

I've been doing a lot of traditional scrapping (paper and glue) lately. So it will be heaven to be able to work on a page without having to tidy everything away at night. I might even get brave enough to put some of my pages on here :/  Still loving my digi scrapping though :)

The embellishments she's used compliment the photos so well and I love the LO, Plus the cake is pretty cool too!

Month of Challenges Finished!

I am so pleased to say that I did it! I produced a page every single day throughout the month of January. I now feel exhausted, but proud of myself for rising to the challenge.

The challenge was run by The Lily Pad, where I can often be found hanging around lol.

This is the last page I did - the criteria was to use an old photo that has been scanned in. I have always loved this photo so was an easy choice :)
