Saturday Spotlight Wk 21

Welcome to The Saturday Spotlight!

This week's page is 'Memories' by

I absolutely love the clustering and layering. She has captured 'vintage' perfectly, which is something I struggle with! A stunning scrap Irene.

The kit is 'Take Me Back' from G&T Designs. Beautiful!

Thank you Irene x

Saturday Spotlight Wk 20

Welcome to The Saturday Spotlight!

This week it's 'little moments' by liesl kyle.

A gorgeous photo of her daughter and grandson. The page is really sunshiny and happy and is just the sort of lift we all need after our very soggy, gloomy winter.

I love the layered papers and the littles bees. A really well put together page - Fabulous!

The kit is by Mary89 and is called 'Little Wonderland'

Thank you Liesl x

I'm Runner Up!!!

I am very excited and proud to say that I am a runner up in Scrapbook Magazine's 'Scrapbooker of The Year 2013'!
I'm so glad I entered - thanks to Matt's encouragement.  I am enjoying traditional scrapbooking so much lately (paper and glue as opposed to digital). Largely due to the new scrap room lol.

Anyway, here is the page that was published in the magazine. still can't quite believe it :)

Sorry for the poor photo quality - the colours are much brighter in 'real life' ! x

Saturday Spotlight Wk 19

Welcome to The Saturday Spotlight!

This page caught my eye this week. It's by Pam (norfolkbroad) and is so beautiful!
Love all the layered papers and the framing and that cat licking his yoghurty paws is just adorable :)

The kits Pam used are 'Urban' from Daisytrail, 'A Day at The Zoo' by The Busy Elf and 'A La Nuit Tombee' by Thaliris designs. And if any one is interested, the cat is called Mecia! :)

Thank you Pam x

WOYWW 426

Sorry there is not a desk photo this week. Had such a busy week, I haven't had time to go in to my craft room - let alone actually make anything lol. However I did find time to do a quick digi-scrap page. so here is a photo of that, instead of my desk!

Thank you for all of the comments left last week. Much appreciated and the photo advice is great.
Happy WOYWW everyone!  And if you are in the dark - here's what WOYWW is all about

The quote is from a new kit called 'Grace' by Laurie Anne & Sara Gleason. It's a beautiful grungy kit with lots of stamps and overlays - great for blending.
Anyway, it was perfect for this photo of my son, Matt. He is walking through flood water at arundel and looking deep in thought. The quote is so true to where he is in his life right now.

WOYWW 426

Welcome to WOYWW - and the first airing of my new craft room!

To discover what WOYWW is all about, visit Julia's blog -The Stamping Ground for all the info.

For the last few months I have been doing a lot more traditional scrapbooking. i.e paper and glue as opposed to digital (which i still love)
So my gorgeous husband decided I needed a craft room. He has spent the last month painting and fitting furniture - and now, I am pleased to say, I have moved in.
I can't tell you how happy I am to have my own space to mess up as I choose lol. I have the luxury of not having to tidy away after every crafty session ... bliss.

Anyway, somebody asked me to put some photos on my blog. So here they are along with some of the pages I have created this last couple of weeks.

It all looks a bit spookily tidy and empty at the moment. But give me time......
And just in case anyone thinks I may have left Poppy dog out of the new craft room plans, here she is tucked away in the corner on her brand new throw!

This is the page I'm working on at the mo. It's a photo of the stormy sea during one of the recent storms. The papers are a freebie from Scrapbooking magazine.

This page is of Poppy wearing her Christmas bandana - unfortunately you can hardly see it! But she still looks so cute.

And this is Hollie on holiday last year. Love that photo of her - taken by Matt.

If anyone has any advice about how to photograph scrapbook pages, please let me know lol. This is an awful photo and the colours are all wrong!

Thank you so much to everybody that takes the time to visit my blog. I will get around to as many desks as I can. Happy WOYWW! xxx
